Despina has worked in E5 Bakehouse and St. John, has hosted workshops and private gatherings in Borough Market, and held pop-up kitchens in Maltby Street Market and Brunnel Museum in London.

When she is not writing books in the back room, she blogs and tweets prolifically, helps her husband run their corner-shop and restaurant, Persepolis, and organises all sorts of extra-curricular pop-up stuff. She is what is known in the trade as 'a bit of a busy body’.

    Irina is a Romanian food writer and author of Carpathia, a book that celebrates Romanian home cooking, and Tava, a book about Romanian baking. Irina's recipes draw on her Eastern European heritage – she has always felt very strongly about exploring the world through food and understanding people through what they eat. Her love and commitment to talking about Romanian culinary traditions encouraged her to pursue her dream to write about Romania, its food and its heritage.

    Noor is a Bahraini-born chef whose international work experience eventually brought her to the Ottolenghi family in 2016. She developed recipes for the books Falastin and Ottolenghi FLAVOUR, as well as for Ottolenghi's Masterclass series and other online Ottolenghi publications. Her Bahraini roots have a strong influence on her cooking, with Arabic, Persian and Indian flavours making a prominent appearance in her recipes.

Originally from Siberia, Alissa comes from a Ukrainian-Jewish lineage, with her family history forming an important part of her culinary writing. Alissa is an author of ‘Salt and Time’, and is currently working on her second cookbook. She is a co-founder of a global fundraising campaign, #CookForUkraine which raised over £2 million.

  • Bang Bang Drum School

    Working at the intersection of percussion and sound art, Bang Bang Drum School is a community arts project that introduces children to the concepts of rhythm, notation and DIY sound making in a fun, play-orientated environment. The school offers drum classes for babies and toddlers, workshops for older children, and 1:1 lessons that engage kids of all abilities in a wide variety of drumming styles and techniques.

    Kasia Borowiecka is a London based floral stylist. Her work is inspired by Ikebana , the minimal aesthetic of Japanese flower arranging, which she studies here in London. She uses minimal amount of floral materials in her work allowing each element to speak for itself , showcasing their beauty. Her work is versatile, she amplifies her floral art by working closely with various ceramist artists to further explore visual form and texture in her work.

    Christine Lewis is a natural dyer and maker. Her interest in natural dyeing was sparked by an article in Selvedge magazine about 'Food meeting fashion' by Sasha Duerr. How could something so beautiful be made with kitchen waste and garden plants? Armed with some old pots and pans, a camping stove and a bunch of carrot tops, Christine created her first dye pot. That was back in 2012. She now has a garden workshop next to her dye garden, and there she does all of her dyeing, drying and making.
